The Surface Pro 3 was a veritable notebook killer, inspiring a host of other similar devices from other brands, the latest versions of which include the likes of the HP Spectre x2 and Lenovo Miix 700. The parade of flawed and unpopular iterations that came before it, including devices like the Surface RT and Surface Pro, meant that Microsoft needed to acquit itself of a lot and convince customers that the line between tablet and notebook was actually a false divide.Īnd convince us it did.
